How does our human resource development improve things?

‘Problem solving’ in open processes is in itself the core problem for many: How can you do something without operating instructions?
The following definition makes that quite obvious:

Performing tasks’ means changing an original status into a target status using familiar ways and means (work instructions exist).

Solving problems means transforming an original status into a target status when the ways and means are not known.’ (Solutions need to be found).

This idea is thus to learn and practice ways and means for solving problems. The result is new and improved innovation competence: The new and improved becomes imaginable and feasible!

Transcultural human resource development incorporates the problem solving process into the cultural and communicative present condition of a work group. Reflection upon cultural factors of understanding and consensus takes the pressure off the individual, relieves the fear of failure and suspicions toward others. This enhances an open mind towards others and the pleasure of performance.

The kAN Consulting experts promote the problem solving process by putting the question regarding ways and means up for discussion. As facilitators and stewards they help develop a common code of communication and a shared understanding of the process.
